Treasure Hunters Roadshow Lowballing Offers on Rare Coins?

Do gold-purchasing companies offer good value? Not always, say some.

Regina Commander of Midwest Coins in Keokuk says that at least 10 people have come in to compare her prices with those being offered by Ohio Valley Gold & Silver Refinery this week.

She asks them not to reveal . . .

It is quiet bad that companies are offering very low prices for gold and silver, taking advantage of the economic climate and the rise in silver and gold prices...

The offers they give as examples aren't even as bad as many. A recent Coin World article featured a story about a company that offered $60 for a 2.50 Indian that later certified as MS-66.
