Euro Coins Intended for Scrapheap Smuggled in Forgery Ring

An air stewardess struggling with a heavy bag at a German airport led investigators to the heart of a scam involved Euro coins worth millions, it has emerged.

Thousands of one and two euro coins were discovered in the stewardess' bag early last year, sparking an investigation that uncovered a forgery ring involving Chinese criminals.

Six people were arrested on Wednesday, four of whom are Chinese, and investigators believe the scam could involve . . .
