According to the Federal Reserve Board, $1 and $2 bills cost 5.5 cents per note, while $5 and $10 notes cost 9.9 cents to manufacture. A $100 note costs 9.9 cents as well to manufacture while $20 and $50 bills cost 10.9 cents to make.
