S.S. Central America Shipwreck Gives Up More Gold Bars and Coins

Odyssey Marine Exploration has just released their latest operational report concerning their salvage operation of the S.S. Central America shipwreck.

Over the past five months, Odyssey as recovered over 15,500 gold and silver coins, 45 gold bars and hundreds of other items including gold nuggets, gold dust, and jewelry.

Couple on Stroll Discovers $10 Million U.S. Gold Coin Hoard in Rusty Cans

Professional Coin Grading Service (www.PCGS.com) has authenticated, graded and certified 1,411 U.S. 19th century gold coins that were found in eight, decaying metal canisters buried on private property in California's gold country.

The coins are dated from 1847 to 1894, and the majority of them are $20 denomination Liberty Double Eagles struck at the San Francisco Mint between 1855 and 1894. Some of this amazing treasure will . . .
